In the previous post about the legend of the special Time Attack car that Garage HRS was involved in as part of a team to make the fastest Time Attack car to lap Tsukuba Circuit in under one minute. The history of this time attack started in the 90s and as new models started to become faster with more tuning potential, more tuning shops and aftermarket manufacturers with big names started to compete seriously in the early 2000s. The story of the Cyber Evo started with that LanEvo VI CP9A with racing driver and time attack specialist Tarzan Yamada as the driver and the late Takizawa San whose innovation in ECU tuning even as a privateer took the industry by surprise. Together with the mechanical skills of Hirayama San's Garage HRS, the "Cyber Evo" would soon become a legend. When the LanEvo VII CT9A was released, immediately the team started preparing the car. Equipped with C-West aero parts and sponsorship from Sun Auto, this familia red color blue and green accented Lancer Evolution quickly getting space until achieving the fastest lap. In this historic clip we look back at the epic run that produced the 55.8 seconds. The moment of victory and Euphoria was shared with the team members. From here, the myth of the Super Privateer Cyber Evo started. And we at Garage HRS are proud to be part of that history.
