Water infrastructure is invisible to most people. But without it, everything else is at risk.

The Alexandria West Wastewater Treatment Plant Extension and Upgrade is a landmark environmental infrastructure project serving the West and Central zones of Alexandria, Egypt.

The project is expanding the plant’s treatment capacity from 462,000 m³ per day to 600,000 m³ per day, while upgrading the treatment process from primary to advanced secondary biological treatment. Once complete, this will significantly improve the quality of treated effluent and help reduce pollution loads in Lake Maryout and the Mediterranean Sea.

The impact extends well beyond sanitation. By improving water quality across the region, the project is designed to support public health and contribute to the long-term sustainability of fisheries, agriculture, and tourism in one of Egypt’s most important coastal cities.

AJi is acting as the Engineer under FIDIC Yellow Book, providing construction supervision and project management services across the ongoing project lifecycle for the Construction Authority for Water and Wastewater (CAPW). The project is funded by the European Investment Bank.

Industry leadership begins with people whose expertise helps shape better systems, standards, and communities.

We are proud to announce the appointment of Eng. Yazan Ellauzi, our Head of Roads & Transportation and PPP Unit Manager, to the Jordanian National Building Council by the Jordanian Council of Ministers for a two-year term.

This appointment reflects Eng. Yazan’s extensive expertise and contribution to the engineering and infrastructure sector, while highlighting the technical leadership and professional caliber represented within AJi.

The Jordanian National Building Council plays a key role in shaping policies, engineering codes, and standards related to the construction sector in Jordan, while promoting safety, quality, and sustainable development across the industry.

We are proud to celebrate the recent groundbreaking of NUMAJ, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. A 250-key luxury hospitality destination designed to reflect the unique cultural and natural identity of one of the world's most extraordinary landscapes.

AJi served as Lead Design Consultant for NUMAJ, responsible for the full delivery and coordination of all architectural and engineering design disciplines across every project stage. Prism Interiors, AJi's dedicated interior design division, provided the interior design services, bringing the same precision and material intelligence to every space within.
