Job Vacancy: Architectural Design Manager
Job Overview
The Design Manager reports directly to the Design Director/ Office Manager and provides Architectural services to the Project Team(s) as requested. Specifically, the Design Manager will be responsible for and undertake the following duties and activities.
Responsibilities
Design Development: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and objectives for the project. Develop architectural design concepts, create schematic drawings, and prepare design presentations.
Develop architectural plans and layouts that optimize space utilization, functionality, and aesthetics.
Construction Documentation: Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and material selections.
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Coordinate with engineers and consultants to integrate structural, electrical, and mechanical systems into the architectural design.
• Maintain a current set of project documentation which includes the Design/ construction and their related addendums,
• The management of all project correspondence and documents,
• The preparation of project/ office correspondence, reports, and presentations,
• management & co-ordination of all project planned meetings including, attendance and follow-up on issues,
Actively participate in marketing, client presentation, and follow up on leads to identify potential work opportunities,
and any other requirements as directed by the Office Manager.
Skills
1. Design Skills: Proficiency in architectural design, including conceptualization, spatial planning, and aesthetic sensitivity. Ability to translate client requirements into innovative and functional designs.
2. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural principles, building systems, materials, and construction techniques. Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
3. AutoCAD and Design Software: Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion, 3D Max, or similar tools to create accurate and detailed architectural drawings.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
• Need 5 to 10 years of experience in the same field.
• technical skills and the ability to use design and project management software.
• Interior design and landscaping are plus.
• Problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and time management.
• Excellent Communication and Team leading Skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
