🌧️ Restoring Safety After the Storm 💪

The recent hurricane caused severe slope failure and landslides, blocking roads and endangering local residents. The CHEC team from the Southern Coastal Highway Improvement Project swiftly responded from the initial rescue of a trapped local resident to full debris clearance and road restoration.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our crew and the use of CHEC’s equipment, safe passage has now been restored. Together, we build resilience and stand with our communities. 🇯🇲🤝

The Montego Bay Perimeter Road Project team, led by CHEC, joined hands with local residents to assist in post-hurricane cleanup clearing roads from the new bridge over the Montego River to the Fesco Gas Station in St. James. 🌿🛣️

Though Hurricane Melissa has passed, there is still important work to be done. 💪

The China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) is proud to assist the Government of Jamaica namely the National Works Agency (NWA) in clearing debris, fallen trees, and other obstructions along the Mandela Highway to ensure our fellow Jamaicans can travel safely once again. 🇯🇲
