For the outdoor flooring of terraces and balconies, the underlying sealing layer must be protected from perforations and abrasions that may occur during construction or be caused by slight movements of the screed due to temperature changes. Outdoors, moisture and vapour tend to pe*****te and remain in very small spaces, weakening the structure from the inside and appearing on the surface with stains and mould. Not to mention that the heat and cold put a strain on surface floors: cracks are always looming.

How can I solve this?

NO-CRACK, the membrane consisting of an HDPE dimpled structure and a polypropylene fabric, takes care of vapour and moisture. The channels created between these two layers compensate for the tension created by the vapour in the damp substrate. Separating the screed and the tiles prevents any spread of stresses and cracks.

When soundproofing, you need to consider even the slightest vibrations that exploit the continuity of structural elements in order to spread.

The floating screed technique allows you to separate the various structural parts that would act as a bridge. To effectively insulate the screed from vertical surfaces, we recommend installing T-BAND, a self-adhesive, closed-cell band that seals joints between T-SILENCE panels when installed under a screed.
