We have just completed a 90 MVA power transformer destined for an important substation project in Central America.

90000 kVA | 138/34,5 kV | Dyn11 | OLTC

A project like this is never just about numbers or dimensions. It is the result of teamwork, expertise and commitment shared across every department and every production phase.

From engineering to manufacturing and final assembly, many people contributed to bringing this transformer to life. The unit was assembled in our new production facility, confirming our capability to deliver high-power solutions for complex international energy infrastructures.

Production, quality control and testing all within a kilometre of each other. This is no coincidence: it is a strategic choice.
When a customer orders a transformer from us, everything needed to build, test and deliver it is under one roof – or almost. Three plants in Montecchio Maggiore and Tezze di Arzignano, linked by a supply chain that we manage entirely ourselves.
The 5,900 m² headquarters in Montecchio Maggiore is where we design, coordinate and test. It is also the most self-sufficient site: the solar panels on the roofs cover 66% of our energy needs. The Tezze di Arzignano plant — just one kilometre away — specialises in the manufacture of oil-filled transformers. The third, recently opened in Montecchio, is dedicated to high-power oil-filled transformers, ranging from 7 to 90 MVA, with systems designed for safety and production continuity.
Three sites, one philosophy: controlling every stage without relying on anyone else.
For those purchasing a bespoke transformer, this matters. It means genuine traceability, manageable lead times, and a single point of contact from specification to delivery. It also means that if something goes wrong, we know exactly where to look.

We asked our CEO Raffaele Schenato one question: what makes a transformer manufacturer founded in 1969 still relevant today?
"We have never been a mass producer. Every transformer stems from a conversation with the customer and that will never change."

Customers come to us with tight constraints: limited space, local regulations, non-standard operating conditions. Finding a manufacturer willing to engineer from scratch rather than stretch an existing model is rarer than it sounds.
The new facility dedicated to oil-filled transformers, up to 90 MVA, follows the same logic.
"The market is asking more of us. We decided to respond." Full in-house production, every stage under control, no dependence on a supply chain that is showing real cracks across Europe: long lead times, scarce availability, reliable suppliers increasingly hard to find.
"We manufacture in-house and control every stage. Right now, that is worth a great deal!"

In 1969, we built transformers for a different world. Today, we design them for one that never stops. Back then, Italy was still building its highways. The European power grid was a patchwork of national infrastructures. A transformer that lasted 30 years was already considered a good one.
Today, a data center cannot afford 4 hours of downtime. An offshore platform must continue to operate under conditions that put a severe strain on any electrical component. A mining facility in South America needs a transformer that doesn’t exist in any catalog.
This is the work we’ve been doing for over half a century.
