Since 1983 we design rooms for music and audio/video production. We deal with every area of acoustics and electroacoustics, we handle music and cultural industry, constructions, offices and industrial fields.

We are thrilled to share the project of Amnesiac Studios, the personal production sanctuary of guitarist and executive producer Walter Babbini

The goal was to create a space that feels like home during long creative sessions, without ever compromising on absolute monitoring accuracy.

Design & Aesthetics: curated by our Giulia Bondielli, the control room features clean, sleek lines and integrated indirect lighting.

Acoustics: the rear wall integrates our iconic SSS custom acoustic diffuser, ensuring optimal sound field control while defining the visual character of the room.

Tech & Future-Proofing: Walter’s search for unconventional excellence led to elite monitoring choices like Kii Audio and Barefoot Sound. Furthermore, the studio is fully pre-wired and structurally ready for a Dolby Atmos immersive audio upgrade.

A huge thanks to Walter Babbini for his trust, and to Stop Sound Insonorizzazioni for the flawless ex*****on of the isolation and acoustic treatments.

Nell'ultimo numero della rivista, la nostra Torracchi fa il punto sulle nuove competenze del progettista acustico.

In un mercato sempre più guidato da normative stringenti (come i CAM in Italia) e dall'ascesa dell'audio immersivo, l'integrazione tra performance tecnica e interior design diventa il vero valore aggiunto.

Nel testo si parla anche dei nostri strumenti di simulazione numerica e di come l'intelligenza artificiale stia affiancando il nostro lavoro quotidiano.

Noi di Studio Sound Service abbiamo avuto l'onore di curare il progetto acustico ed elettroacustico.

La sfida?
Integrare un sistema audio immersivo all'avanguardia senza toccare l'estetica e la storia di una sala tutelata.
Ci siamo riusciti integrando un sistema multicanale Dolby Atmos unico nel suo genere, con la tecnologia ultra-sottile di K-ARRAY

Un perfetto esempio di come l'acustica invisibile possa valorizzare l'architettura storica.

New Project Showcase: Francesco di Tullio Studio – Naples, Italy

Behind many of the biggest live productions and studio hits in the vibrant Neapolitan music scene stands sound engineer Francesco di Tullio.

We had the pleasure of designing his new high-performance facility, creating a perfect synergy between a modern creative workflow and a powerful aesthetic.
Our design team optimized the three-room layout to achieve maximum acoustic isolation and precise modal control.🔬

The Technical Approach

Control Room: features an in-wall flush-mounting system for the main Genelec 1237 monitors, offering an impeccably accurate soundstage. A secondary Amphion nearfield setup provides total versatility for critical listening. The workspace is wrapped in dark tones and indirect RGB LED tracks to eliminate visual distractions and fatigue.

Live Room: the true centerpiece is the slatted wooden ceiling. Its custom geometric fracturing provides advanced high-frequency diffusion.
While the room remains acoustically "tight" and controlled on the low end, it retains a stunningly natural brightness, providing exceptional comfort for performing musicians.

For new facility, we designed a space where Japanese-inspired aesthetics meet technical precision. Clean lines, indirect lighting, and a neutral palette to create the ultimate creative sanctuary.

We handled the acoustic isolation and treatment for the main room, ensuring a neutral and balanced listening environment.

Expanding a historic landmark like CD Cine Dubbing in Rome required a balance of surgical precision and creative design.

Our latest intervention focused on creating a new state-of-the-art Theatrical Mix room, engineered to meet the stringent standards of global players like Netflix, HBO, and Sky.

The Challenge: working with limited ceiling heights without compromising the Dolby Atmos certification.

The solution: a meticulous study of volumes and speaker aiming, integrated with a high-performance Meyer Sound system (Acheron for LCR channels and HMS10 for surrounds and ceiling).

The aesthetic, inspired by the client’s passion for the sea, features a palette of deep blues and a backlit slat system that provides architectural depth to a highly technical space.

Every detail, from the custom furniture to the acoustic treatment, was designed to optimize the workflow for major international cinema productions.

Technical precision meets creative comfort.

The Dolby Atmos Music 7.1.4 suite at Milk Audio Store is now operational. This project highlights how acoustic engineering can transform a medium-sized room into a high-performance monitoring environment.

By focusing on precise low-frequency management, we’ve ensured that the PMC Speakers system can express its full potential. The integration of diffused lighting across the architectural elements helps define a workspace that remains relaxing even during the most demanding sessions.

A space designed for those who seek accuracy and a natural listening experience.

Great projects are born from great collaborations!

We are proud to announce that the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze project has been shortlisted for the prestigious MONDO-DR Awards 2026 in the "Hotel" category.

As the acoustic designers for this intervention, we are thrilled to see this project recognized on a global stage.

A huge congratulations to Nueva, the System Integrator behind the entry, and to our partner K-ARRAY for providing the perfect audio solutions to match our acoustic vision.

Working on such a historic and prestigious venue required a delicate balance between invisible technology and superior sound quality.

Seeing this effort recognized in the international "shortlist" is a fantastic milestone for the whole team.

One of the greatest challenges at 3Cycle was the building itself: a typical industrial structure with inherently poor sound and vibration insulation.

For sensitive work like ADR recording, this is a critical problem.

Our solution was to implement complete acoustic isolation. Every recording room was built using a "floated, room-within-a-room" construction method, with vibration isolation throughout the entire structure.

We conducted preliminary vibration testing to ensure the resonant frequency of the floating floors was optimized for maximum noise containment, guaranteeing that even the slightest external noise cannot intrude.

This is the unseen engineering that allows for pristine audio capture.

For the renovation of Palazzo Del Nero at Four Seasons HotelFirenze, our goal was clear: deliver uncompromising sound quality while respecting the soul of a 16th-century masterpiece.

It was a challenge of extreme precision and restraint.
Working alongside Nueva and leveraging the ultra-compact technology of K-array we integrated a high-performance audio ecosystem directly into the historic fabric of the building. From the vaulted ceilings of the common areas to the complex acoustics of the Conventino, every technical choice was tailored to disappear.

In the luxury world, excellence isn’t just about what you hear—it’s about what you don’t see.
