1999 Since 1986 and in the course of the following years, Moreno Barel has acquired the technical skills and know-how that have become the sturdy foundations of PET Engineering since 1999.

2000-2006 Within a few years, this company based in the Treviso area has become a leader at a national level and, later, internationally by working with major multinational firms such as AB InBev and PepsiCo.

2007 In 2007, PET Engineering designs around 80% of the beer containers produced in Russia and opens its first branch in Moscow to better follow the market.

2008 In 2008, the team moves to a location that quickly becomes the only European technological center specialized in the production of PET containers for the beverage industry.

2009 The crisis forces bottlers to drastically reduce their costs: PET Engineering faces the challenge by launching the Conversion Line and Lightweight Design services aimed to reduce the amount of plastic used.

2010 PET Engineering receives its first national recognition: the Packaging Oscar for Levissima La litro, the first ultra-lightweight
bottle made of 25% of recycled PET.

2011 Important investments are made to expand the lab with state-of-theart equipment and devices for the production of efficient and quality
containers.

2012 PepsiCo acknowledges PET Engineering's lab as one of the few external labs to analyze PET bottles for carbonated soft drinks
and flat drinks.

2013 The company introduces a new method integrating design, engineering expertise and research, and closes the year with a turnover increase of 45%, in addition to winning its second Packaging Oscar.

2014 PET Engineering receives the World Beverage Innovation Award for the Devin Crystal Line and is ranked - by Confidustria (General Confederation of Italian Industries) - amongst the 20 most innovative Italian businesses.

2015 The technological center is expanded by 1,500 sq.m. to support the growing number of activities, amongst which the new Preform Design and Prototype service. A second commercial branch is opened in Shanghai.

2016 In 2016, PET Engineering invests in its re-branding and introduces a new logo and identity, representative of the innovative approach integrating strategic design, engineering and research.
