Case Study | 🌟 Imar, based in the province of Venice, specializes in bedroom furniture for the American market through its subsidiary IdeaItalia Contemporary Furniture.
To boost production, the company invested in a high-productivity line for manufacturing drawer sides using the folding process.
SCM’s Engineering team delivered a cutting-edge solution: a squaring, drilling, and dowelling line featuring robotic loading and unloading stations, a “celaschi sp” squaring machine, a drilling-dowelling machine, a connecting and tipping station, all integrated with Maestro Active Watch supervisory software.
This line is ideal for drawers made with the folding technique, enabling precise V-grooving while leaving only a few tenths of the coating thickness.
“Thanks to this new system we manage to apply economies of scale, increasing the volumes and optimising costs. A change which allows us to be faster, more competitive and ready to meet market demands”. — Fabio Zoia, Production Manager, Imar
