In a remote observatory, there is no one to cover the at the end of the night and no one to take flat frames by hand. Yet both are essential to protect your optics and to get clean images.

In our new video, we go to the DUAL-PRO Observatory Station at the PL Space Center and install ALTO motorized telescope covers and GIOTTO flat field generators on a Celestron EdgeHD 14" and a Celestron RASA 11. We also show how we keep cable management simple: just one USB cable and one 12V cable from ALTO to the EAGLE control computer.

The result? An observatory that takes care of itself.

Most only use one eye.

Your shows you visible light. But most of the hydrogen in the Universe is cold and it only shows up at radio frequencies, 1420 MHz.

At our NEAST Summit 2026 we pointed optical and radio telescopes at the same sky. The Sun turned out to be two different layers of the same star. And right where Cassiopeia shows empty space, our SPIDER radio telescope shows one of the brightest radio sources in the sky.

Sabato 3 ottobre arriva il NEAST 2026, la giornata in cui apriamo le porte della nostra sede a Porcia (PN) e del PL Space Center per mostrare le nostre tecnologie! Programma del giorno:

09:00 - 10:30: Convegno " : alla scoperta del cielo invisibile" - al Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico Andrea Galvani - relatori Filippo Bradaschia e Salvo Pluchino. Attenzione: ci sono 80 posti a sedere nella sala conferenze del Polo Tecnologico quindi se siamo in tanti (speriamo!) qualcuno dovrà stare in piedi.

11:30 - 12:30: Visita in sede PrimaLuceLab - Via Torricelli 9, 33080, Porcia (PN). Vi mostreremo come sviluppiamo le nostre soluzioni per esplorare l'Universo e potrete parlare con il team di PrimaLuceLab che lavora ogni giorno per questa fantastica applicazione.

15:00 - 16:30: Dimostrazione al PL Space Center "Alla scoperta del sole con telescopi ottici e radio" al Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico Andrea Galvani. Se le condizioni meteo lo permetteranno, useremo un solare H-alfa per mostrarvi come la nostra stella è realmente "dinamica" e cattureremo anche i suoi segnali radio.

dalle 18:00: Concerto AstroVisioni al PL Space Center, organizzato da Astro Club, con musica all'aperto e osservazione con i telescopi (con cielo nuvoloso proietteremo immagini riprese con i nostri telescopi; in caso di pioggia si recupera domenica 4 ottobre alle 18:00 all'Astro Club di Fontanafredda). Per quest'ultimo evento i posti sono limitati quindi non tardate!

A new for the Morelia Planetarium in Mexico!

The PrimaLuceLab Installation Team has completed the installation of a DUAL-COMPACT Observatory Station at the Morelia Planetarium, currently under construction. We worked on behalf of Tierra Luna Engineering, with the collaboration of its President and former NASA astronaut Jose Hernandez.

It took us just 3 days:

1️⃣ We positioned and joined the two halves of the OUTPOST 3M dome, already pre-installed and tested in our factory in Italy
2️⃣ We installed the pier, the alt-azimuth mount and two working in parallel: a 4" APO refractor for deep-sky imaging and a 9.25" Schmidt-Cassegrain for the Moon and planets
3️⃣ We connected everything to the EAGLE computer, tested the remote control with PLAY software and trained the planetarium team

Now this observatory is ready to inspire students, families and visitors of all ages!

Two Italians and an American, in a warehouse in Oceanside, California.
We spent three days working with Tom Bramwell , who runs PrimaLuceLab North America. We looked at his setup, which is fully equipped with our instruments. We talked about what really changes when the products are already in California before you order them.
And then we drove out to an we installed more than two years ago. We opened it to see what two years of weather, dust and humidity had done.

Sunset in San Candido, Val Pusteria, with the Italian Dolomites in front of us.

The sky was fading fast and there was no time to waste. This is a complete astrophotography setup: Takahashi FSQ-85 telescope, ESATTO robotic focuser, ARCO camera rotator, GIOTTO flat field generator, ALTO motorized cover, all controlled by EAGLE and installed on SATURN HD-20 in altazimuth mode.

A few minutes and everything is ready to start imaging. Because the night is short and you want to spend it looking at the universe, not building your setup.

On Saturday, October 3rd the NEAST Summit is back!

Once a year the PL Space Center and our headquarters in Porcia open to the public. This year it happens on Saturday, October 3rd, in Pordenone, Italy.

09:00 - 10:30 | Conference " : alla scoperta del cielo invisibile" ( : discovering the invisible sky) — Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico Andrea Galvani, with Filippo Bradaschia and Salvo Pluchino.

11:30 - 12:30 | Visit to PrimaLuceLab headquarters — via Torricelli 9, Porcia (PN). Where our are designed, built and tested.

15:00 - 16:30 | "Discovering the Sun with optical and radio telescopes" — demonstration at the PL Space Center: our star observed in H-alpha and in radio waves with the SPIDER 300A MarkII .

from 18:00 | AstroVisioni Concert — open-air music and sky observing with the telescopes of the PL Space Center, together with Astro Club

The evening is outdoors: if the sky is cloudy we will screen images captured with our own , and if it rains the event moves to Sunday, October 4th at 18:00 at the Astro Club in Fontanafredda.
