Glasstec has closed and we are heading home with a full notebook of conversations, ideas and new contacts. A big thank you to everyone who came to Hall 16, Stand D29 to see the HRC Oven, the Evatherm Oven and the ELB 11/45 at work, together with the new Bovone DMS – Digital Monitoring System, developed with Siemens on Siemens Industrial Edge.

Built on Siemens Industrial Edge, it lets you follow your glass edging machines through dedicated dashboards (operating time, downtime, availability, OEE) and plan maintenance on actual machine usage.

Marmomac has closed, and the BRS 7 Axis for stone went public for the first time.

Thank you to everyone who stopped at the stand, watched the 7-axis system work, and asked the hard questions. Those conversations are the reason we bring a machine to Verona instead of a brochure.

A quick recap of what you saw: the arm feeding more than one machine on its own, the Fully Automatic edge polisher finishing the flat edge and calibrating the back in one pass, slabs up to 300 kg handled without hands, production up 30 to 50%. A new system, with more than 70 years of Bovone behind it, three generations, over 25 dealers around the world and our own branch in North America.

Four days, one machine, and a lot of conversations.

The BRS 7 Axis ran in public for the first time this week: a seven-axis robot on a linear rail, feeding the Stonedge 9+1 on its own, the flat edge polished and the back of the slab calibrated in a single pass.
