🔧 Enhanced Control and Quality with Posidonia's New CNC Machine

We’ve just upgraded our in-house capabilities with a new gantry-type CNC milling machine – the SELCA 3045 – with a 3000 x 1000 x 1200 mm axis range.

It’s already at work machining 3,500 kg PTW® HHP anchor shanks in solid Duplex stainless steel – a marine-grade material superior to AISI 316L. The PTW® anchor offers 25% weight reduction compared to traditional mass anchors, boosting efficiency and reducing fuel consumption.

This new CNC gives us full control over machining quality, tighter tolerances, and more reliable lead times for custom marine and naval components.

⚓ Continuous chain or Kenter link?
That’s one of the most common questions we get from our clients!

🔹 The Kenter link is designed to join two chain lengths of the same size, making it possible to adjust the chain length as needed.
🔸 But keep in mind: due to its bulkier shape, it might not pass smoothly through the windlass.

👉 The right choice depends on your vessel's setup and anchor configuration.
