What happens when your departments join forces?

Last week, our new team and cargo department in Rome FCO joined forces with our team in Milan MXP to support a customer with the transportation of over 36 crates, including one extra weight crate containing a disassembled engine and other important aeronautical components, from Rome FCO to Miami via Milan MXP.

The entire team worked in harmony, demonstrating efficiency and experience. Transit time door to Miami airport 4 days.

Customs operations management, transport from Milan Malpensa to Forlì, Italy with a mega trailer equipped with air ride suspension and a dedicated driver experienced in cargo securing and lashing, all carried out according to the manufacturer's manual and the highest standards.

to an OBC (OnBoard Courier) delivery in record time by ALN Germany.

OnBoard Couriers are always used when things are really urgent. This time, a total of 2 packages were transported from Frankfurt FRA to Prague PRG by OBC. The whole delivery was lightning fast and smooth.

In less than 7 hours, the OnBoard Courier managed to bring the important shipments from Frankfurt to Prague. This fast and reliable delivery would had not been possible without the help of OnBoard Courier service.

Oops, we did it again…
This time, two helicopter blades were transported from Milan MXP to Luderitz in Namibia via Johannesburg SA in record time. None of this would have been possible without the network of partners, and our cargo team.

Operating in Windhoek Namibia is not always the easiest task in the world. Those in the cargo industry understand this. Yet, our team successfully planned and carried out the transport of a helicopter blade, measuring over 7 meters and weighing more than 400kg, from Europe to the Namibian capital in less than 48 hours.

This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the reliable network of our partners upon which our team and our clients can confidently count!

💪 Our Technical Odyssey:
At SkyStar Services, our involvement in transporting the CDPU component for the MetOp-A satellite required a fusion of precision and innovation.
The satellite component, equipped with state-of-the-art sensors, demanded meticulous handling to ensure it arrived intact at Charleroi, Brussels in Belgium. From specific packaging requirements to vibration-dampening systems, every aspect of the transport process was calibrated to meet the highest standards and requirements.

We did it again against time, an embargo, and the lack of direct freighter flights at the destination!

Thanks to our expert cargo team and the support of our Aviation Logistics Network Limited partner in South Africa we managed to send this helicopter blade from Milan MXP via Doha and Johannesburg to WDH Windhoek Namibia.
Sometimes it takes more than an ordinary cargo team💪
