The mechanical structure of a Blend plant remains reliable for many years. What changes over time are the tools used to manage production, monitor performance and maintain production control.

The retrofit from SVI to MMI2 was developed with this principle in mind.

Available for both the E-Series and A240 plants, it upgrades the control technology without replacing the plant itself. Recipe management becomes simpler, calibrations are easier, and the plant remains connected to My Blend for software updates and remote technical support. New components improve long-term reliability in daily operation.

The retrofit is carried out directly on-site. Existing recipes are transferred, the plant is calibrated, and operators are trained before production resumes.

Transporting concrete to mountain job sites means long driving distances, high transport costs and severe limits on delivery schedules.

Traditional delivery relies on continuous mixer truck runs over steep, narrow mountain roads, which introduces unpredictable delays that disrupt foundation pours.

For the wind farm project in Castiglione Messer Marino, Ge.Ko positioned a Blend A240 mobile plant on site, configured with three vertical silos. Concrete is mixed on the spot, with continuous weight-based dosing, removing the need to drive liquid concrete up mountain access roads.

This guarantees continuous pouring for the wind turbine foundations, with lower fuel consumption and no dependency on mountain transport.

We see start-up as part of the engineering work, not as a final step after the sale. Our engineers calibrate each dosing group on site. They check the weight-based dosing against the real aggregates and bitumen emulsion the plant will use for cold asphalt production.

This means the plant reaches full production precision from the first mix. There is no trial period, no adjustment phase.

We were on site for the start-up of the new Blend E050 supplied to Pavasal, the Valencian company that has maintained and preserved roads since 1943. The plant will produce cold asphalt directly at the road sections under intervention across the province of Valencia.

Returned concrete from a demolition site has to be processed quickly, before it sets. If not, it becomes waste, and waste means disposal costs.

The usual way is to truck it to a crushing facility. More transport, more fuel, more time lost.

Frealdo Riciclaggio materiali inerti mixes it on site instead. Weight-based dosing turns the returned concrete into a controlled mix, poured into Betonblock steel forms.

The result: daily surplus becomes structural, stackable blocks, ready to use on site. No disposal costs, no transport, no waste.

City road cuts for water network repairs come with a fixed timeline: every hour the trench stays open is an hour of blocked traffic and no water supply for residents.

In Santiago, NPS produces concrete directly at the trench edge with the E050 mobile plant. No transit mixers, no waiting for deliveries through city traffic.

Material is mixed on demand and used immediately, allowing fast backfilling and road repaving as soon as the repair is done. Faster repairs mean shorter road closures and less time without water for residents.

Not every construction site needs maximum production capacity. In many urban projects, the real challenge is producing continuously inside limited spaces while keeping the plant compact and easy to maintain.

The engineering challenge is not the mixing process itself. It is synchronising the dosing of every material. Through weight-based dosing, our software controls the flow of aggregates, cement, water and additives, allowing the mixer to operate at a constant speed while delivering consistent material quality.

The result is continuous production, reduced installed power, simple cleaning and affordable maintenance.

Urban constraints and historic narrow streets make traditional concrete logistics highly inefficient. Relying on transit mixers in restricted areas leads to unpredictable delivery schedules, waiting times, and compromised material quality due to delayed pouring.

We solve this by moving the mixing process directly to the job site. By keeping aggregates, cement, water, and additives separated until the exact moment of use, we eliminate the risk of premature hydration. Concrete is produced only in the precise quantity required for the immediate workload.

This approach eliminates material waste and removes dependency on external transport schedules. Mobility is not a technical attribute; it is an operational strategy that ensures consistency where traditional delivery methods fail.
