To understand a machine, take a closer look at how it is built.

In our latest video, we take you inside our workshop in Trissino, Italy, to present the Danese Impact D1 — our hydraulic compactor for leather buffing dust.Rather than simply showing the machine from the outside, we explain the engineering choices behind its operation, with a closer look at three essential elements:

- A properly sized hydraulic system. A large-capacity oil tank helps manage operating temperatures, with provision for additional cooling in hotter working environments.

- Simple electrical controls. Electromechanical components and timers, without a PLC or touchscreen. A straightforward approach designed to make operation, troubleshooting and maintenance easier.

- Robust mechanical construction Components engineered to our specifications, with a focus on strength, durability and the demands of everyday industrial use.

Our philosophy is straightforward: machinery should work reliably, and the people operating it should be able to manage it without unnecessary complexity.

This approach builds on our experience in the leather industry and our ongoing dialogue with the businesses that use our equipment every day.

Calati 300AST vs ST300 – Leather Softness Measurement Comparison
In this video, we compare the Calati 300AST leather softness tester with the ST300, highlighting the key differences in measurement principles, calibration methods, and real testing conditions.
The Calati 300AST is designed to measure softness directly on the leather sample, ensuring stable and repeatable results through a two-step measurement process. Unlike traditional systems, it operates with a specific calibration method using a reference disc applied over the material thickness.
The ST300, on the other hand, follows a different reference approach, which can lead to variations if the calibration conditions are not properly understood.
This comparison demonstrates how both instruments behave under the same testing conditions, allowing operators and quality control technicians to better understand measurement consistency, reliability, and practical application in the leather industry.
