RIGHT-OF-WAY -AIRCRAFT IN THE AIR
Approaching Head-On: When two aircraft are approaching head-on, or approximately so, and there is danger of collision, each must alter its heading to the right regardless of the type of either aircraft.
Converging: When two aircraft are converging at approximately the same level, the aircraft that has the other on its right must give way. The aircraft having priority must maintain its heading and speed.
Except as follows:
Power-driven, heavier-than-air aircraft (i.e. flying machines) must give way to airships, gliders and balloons. Airships must give way to gliders and balloons. Gliders must give way to balloons. Power-driven aircraft must give way to aircraft which are seen to be towing other aircraft or objects.
