📢 Non-accredited ISO certification isn't worth the paper it's written on.
ISO does not certify companies. It only develops standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 22000.
✅ Certification is done by Certification Bodies (CBs) - but not all CBs are equal.
🔒 Accredited CBs are recognized by national bodies (e.g., UKAS, IAS, EGAC) under ISO/IEC 17021. Their certificates are credible, globally recognized, and accepted in audits, tenders, and compliance systems.
🚫 Non-accredited CBs?
No oversight. No recognition. No credibility.
If your ISO certificate comes from an unaccredited CB, it might look official - but in practice, it’s meaningless.
🔎 Always verify:
• Is the CB accredited?
• Who accredits them?
• Are they listed on IAF?
