Civil engineering, the mother branch, has kept pace with the rapid growth in the field of technology. It is that branch of engineering which provides basic amenities required for the survival and maintenance of the environment. d in 2009, has made remarkable progress since then, with capacity of 60 for under-graduate courses The Civil Engineering department provides all the facilities required to study and understand construction with an eye on environmental friendliness. The department seeks expertise from several branches of Civil Engineering viz. Structures, Soil department and Foundation, Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering, Advanced Surveying etc. has well qualified and learned faculties with qualification of Master’s Degree in Engineering. The faculty has participated in several academic activities by submitting research papers at national and international levels. They are frequently invited to conduct guest lecturers for students from various institutes. The Department of Civil Engineering has been offering consultancy and services in testing of building material viz. steel, cement, bricks, Structural auditing, Third party inspection, RCC & Steel design of the structures, Stability analysis, Supervision and Quality control, soil & water testing to several Governments, semi Government organisations, private sectors and the local contractors and builders. We are proud to add that our students have secured ranks at University level and GATE examinations.
