COSMOS ENGINEERING PROJECT SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED hiring contract engineers for Turnaround activities 2016 for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Visakha oil refinery, Visakhapatnam.
1.0. Requirement:

Tentative Requirement of contract engineers is as given below
a. Mechanical Stream : 14 nos (Planning Engr - 1 nos; Ex*****on Engr – 13 nos)
b. Electrical Stream : 2 nos
c. Instrumentation Stream : 3 nos
The educational qualification & experience requirement is mentioned in the tender lines.
2.0. Scope of work:

a. Planning Engineers (Mechanical):
i. The Contract Engineers shall be skilled, experienced and well versed in various Maintenance
practices involved in refinery/hydrocarbon sector. A brief scope of the jobs to be carried out
by the planning engineer is given below.
ii. Compilation of additional work list received from Operations, Inspection & Process
departments into a common work list.
iii. Review of work list jobs at site with inputs from available drawings.
iv. Arriving at methodology for ex*****on of jobs including preparation of feasibility report.
v. Review of equipment & piping drawings and compilation of data.
vi. Other than the above reports planning engineer shall compile computer reports in excel,
word etc as advised by Manager, T&I.
vii. Preparation of work breakdown structure (WBS) & Time Schedules of all the activities
involved in T&I including individual WBS & Time schedule for each of the major equipment
like heater, column, reactor, regenerator, exchangers, piping etc. in Primavera Project
Planner. Identification of critical path for the sequence of activities is essential.
viii. Monitoring of shutdown activities basis inputs from field & preparing Progress reports in
Primavera P6
ix. Other than the above reports various other reports like S curve etc shall be prepared in
Primavera Project Planner as advised by Manager, T&I.
x. Issuing materials to contractors as per advice from Manager, T&I.
xi. Preparation of Daily status reports as per requirements of Manager in charge.
xii. Planning Engineer to come with their own Laptop (loaded with Primavera Software).
b. Ex*****on Engineers (Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation)
i. Supervise jobs in allotted areas shift wise in two shifts on round the clock basis.
ii. Ensure all jobs as per work list are carried out as per laid down procedures.
iii. Ensure adherence to the job schedule & sequencing as per planned bar charts.
iv. To carry out the ex*****on activities with adherence to safety & Quality standards.
v. Ensure maximum work front saturation by engaging all available resources.
vi. Follow up with contractor for requirements of safety quality & quantity
vii. Progress reporting to planner
