📌 Following are the Different Types of Construction Machineries:
1. Backhoe:
A backhoe is a type of excavating equipment, or excavator, consisting of a digging bucket on the end of a two-part articulated arm. It is typically mounted on the back of a tractor or front loader, the latter forming a "backhoe loader".
2. Bulldozer:
A bulldozer or dozer (also called a crawler) is a large, motorized machine equipped with a metal blade to the front for pushing material: soil, sand, snow, rubble, or rock during construction work. It travels most commonly on continuous tracks, though specialized models riding on large off-road tires are also produced.
3. Cement Mixer Truck:
A cement truck, often called a cement mixer, is a heavy-duty vehicle used in construction. It carries ready-mixed concrete to buildings or construction sites. The truck features a rotating drum and specialized mixing mechanisms. Concrete is mixed inside the drum.
4. Crawler Crane:
Crawler cranes are composed of a standard cab mounted on a crawler undercarriage. The undercarriage uses tracks instead of wheels to navigate the terrain at construction sites. Additionally, the upper deck rotates a full 360 degrees, and it features a box or lattice boom with an optional extension.
5. Excavator:
Excavators are heavy construction equipment primarily consisting of a boom, dipper (or stick), bucket, and cab on a rotating platform known as the "house". The modern excavator's house sits atop an undercarriage with tracks or wheels, being an evolution of the steam shovel (which itself evolved into the power shovel when steam was replaced by diesel and electric power).
6. Dump Truck:
A dump truck, also known as a dumper lorry or tipper truck, is used for transporting materials (such as dirt, gravel, or demolition waste) for construction as well as coal. The truck is equipped with an open-box bed hinged at the rear, which can be lifted to unload its contents.
7. Forklift:
A forklift (also called an industrial truck, lift truck, jitney, hi-lo, fork truck, fork hoist, and forklift truck) is a powered industrial truck used to lift and move materials over short distances. The forklift was developed in the early 20th century by various companies, including Clark.
8. Hydraulic Crane:
A hydraulic crane is a heavy-duty machine that uses a hydraulic system to lift and move heavy loads. The hydraulic system uses pressurized fluid to move a piston, which then lifts or moves the load. Hydraulic cranes are often used in construction and industrial settings.
9. Tractor:
A tractor is a vehicle that provides high traction and is used to pull heavy loads and machinery at slow speeds. Tractors are commonly used in agriculture, mining, and construction.
10. Scissor Lift:
A scissor lift is a work platform that moves people and equipment vertically, allowing workers to reach elevated areas safely. They are often used in construction, maintenance, and other industries.
