EPCH attended a meeting conducted by Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Organisation on Export Mission Initiative to encourage Districts as Export Hub. Other participants were distinguished invitees from more than twenty states and the central departments.

The meeting focused on the Export Initiative Action Plan and emphasized the need for regular monitoring of its progress through a series of online and offline review programs. A presentation was made on the Districts as Export Hubs (DEH) initiative, highlighting the framework developed to promote exports at the district level. As part of this initiative, five districts in Karnataka have been identified as flagship districts for focused export development. The meeting also discussed the strategic planning and implementation measures required to achieve the targeted export growth and ensure effective ex*****on of the action plan.

An awareness seminar on "Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Scheme, its Benefits and Opportunities” was organized by EPCH at EPCH’s Common Facility Centre (CFC), Saharanpur.

Mr. Mohsin Ahmad, Expert Faculty of the session, delivered a detailed presentation on AEO. He informed that the AEO program is a globally recognized certification created by the World Customs Organization. It identifies secure, highly compliant businesses in international trade, granting them expedited customs clearance, reduced cargo inspections and priority treatment at ports. He briefed about its core objectives, such as Supply Chain Security and Trade Facilitation. He also explained the key benefits like Faster Clearance, Fewer Inspections, Direct Port Delivery, Deferred Duties and Mutual Recognition. The session was followed by engaging in discussions and participants' queries.

EPCH organised an “Interactive Session & Trade Dialogue” with Smt. Amrit Raj, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, at the EPCH Moradabad office.

The session served as an important platform for exporters, artisans, industry stakeholders, and members of the handicrafts fraternity to discuss trade-related issues, industry challenges, export opportunities, government initiatives, and future growth strategies for the handicrafts sector.

Several eminent dignitaries and industry leaders attended the programme, including Shri Neeraj Khanna, Chairman, EPCH; EPCH Member COAs – Shri Avadesh Agarwal, Shri Naved Ur Rehman, Smt. EPCH participated in the State Level Consultation Meeting on the formulation of the State Export Action Plan for the Handloom & Handicrafts Sector, chaired by Smt. M. Tayang, IAS, Commissioner, Department of Textiles & Handicrafts, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, at Itanagar.

EPCH presented its ongoing activities and interventions across the NER, highlighting initiatives related to export promotion, product development, capacity building, market linkage and participation in international trade fairs.
