The Ice Guardian
High in the frozen mountains, where the river lay silent under a glass of ice, the eagle ruled the skies. It had survived storms, hunger, and endless winters. Freedom was its life.
But one cruel morning, while diving for prey, the eagle crashed through thin ice and became trapped beneath the frozen surface. Its wings beat wildly, claws scraping, breath fading.
Just as darkness closed in, warm hands appeared.
A traveler—clad in thick gloves and courage—broke the ice with bare determination. Shards flew as the frozen prison cracked. The eagle looked straight into human eyes, not with fear, but with trust born in desperation.
With one final push, the ice shattered.
Cold water rushed away, and the eagle was free.
The traveler released it onto the snow. For a moment, the world stood still. Then the eagle spread its wings, powerful and proud, and soared back into the open sky—free once more.
From that day on, legends whispered through the mountains:
Even the wildest spirit may need a helping hand—and even a stranger can become a hero.
