The RXMA2 is a general-purpose auxiliary, signaling, and tripping relay designed by Hitachi Energy as part of its COMBIFLEX modular relay system. It is engineered for applications where high operating reliability and contact requirements are paramount, making it suitable for use in protection, control, and industrial power systems.
🪶 High Contact Capacity: The RXMA2 is a robust version of the RXMA 1, featuring a larger terminal plug-in plate to accommodate a significantly higher number of contacts, up to 15 contacts in one unit.
🪶 Application Versatility: It is primarily used for functions like tripping, blocking, interlocking, and signaling. It excels as a breaker-position repeat (mirror) relay due to its high contact count.
🪶 High Reliability: The relay utilizes twin contacts (bifurcated design) which provide two parallel current paths, ensuring high contact making security and reliability, even at low voltages.
🪶 Low Power Consumption: The unit is designed for low-burden operation, typically less than 2W, optimizing energy efficiency in control circuits.
🪶 High Performance: It offers a rapid response, with a typical drop-out time of approximately 20 ms when a parallel diode is used.
🪶 Durability: Features include long mechanical life, high resistance to shock and vibration, and a screen-protected, dust-proof transparent plastic cover.
🪶 Design and Compatibility: It is a DC-operated relay (AC operation is possible via external diodes/units) and is intended for demanding installations, including those in corrosive atmospheres or seismic areas, where standard industrial relays may not suffice.
