Job Title: Surveyor - Transmission Line, EPC
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Surveyor with extensive experience in Transmission Line, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land and site surveys, ensuring the accuracy of data, and collaborating with site engineers and supervisors. Proficiency in relevant surveying software and tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct Land and Site Surveys: Perform detailed surveys on land or project sites, particularly for transmission line projects, ensuring 100% accuracy.
• Use of Surveying Tools: Operate Auto Level, Total Station, and other surveying instruments proficiently.
• Benchmark Transfers: Execute the transfer of benchmarks from existing facilities to new construction sites.
• Data Verification: Examine previous records and ensure data accuracy before proceeding with new surveys.
• Coordinate Extraction: Extract and interpret coordinates from approved construction drawings for various site activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with site engineers and supervisors, providing necessary guidance and support at the job location.
• Equipment Alignment: Guide site engineers in the alignment of equipment based on survey data.
• Recording Results: Accurately record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
• Data Preparation: Prepare data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
• Measurement Computation: Compute measurements and interpret survey data to determine precise positions.
• As-Built Drawings: Prepare As-Built Drawings and communicate effectively with clients to ensure their understanding and approval.
• Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams for data analysis and presentation.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum [2] years of experience in surveying within the Transmission Line EPC sector.
• Education: Degree or diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills:
o Proficient in using AutoCAD, 3D Models, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
o Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in surveying and usage of Total Station and Auto Level.
