A leading steel plant in Jharkhand needed to replace its ageing Russian-made valves used for river water applications. Importing identical valves would have been expensive and time-consuming.

The Challenge:
The plant required a reliable and cost-effective replacement capable of delivering the same performance as the existing system.

The KBL Solution:
Kirloskar Brothers Limited provided an indigenised solution by manufacturing and installing 1600 mm high-performance valves, along with gearbox and actuator, customised to the plant’s requirements.
