The next chapter of India’s battery story may not be about recycling faster, but about making batteries ready for what comes after their first life.

At the panel discussion “𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆,” 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗱𝗲, Head of Sales, represented Jendamark India and shared a manufacturing perspective on making second-life batteries viable at scale.

His message was clear:

To make that future possible, the industry needs traceability, standardised module-level health and safety testing, and system-level certification for BESS.

Product variety continues to increase across manufacturing, but expectations around quality and process control remain unchanged. Sealant dispensing reflects this challenge clearly: every component may present a different path, yet every bead must be applied with the same control and continuity.

The application shown demonstrates a cobot executing programmed dispensing paths across multiple cast components. Integrated with a rotary indexing setup, it follows curves, openings and perimeter profiles while maintaining nozzle alignment and controlled material delivery.

Beyond automating a repetitive operation, the solution brings greater flexibility to the process. Different dispensing routines can be managed within a single cell, helping improve material control, reduce manual variation and respond efficiently to changing component requirements.

Automation creates lasting value when it can accommodate product variation without allowing process variation to follow.

Most CSR projects begin with a handover.

The best ones begin a journey.

Three years ago, a group of Class 8 students at Shindewadi Madhyamik Vidyalay received their first Omangs through the support of 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝘃𝘁. 𝗟𝘁𝗱.Today, those same students are in Class 10, preparing for one of the most important milestones of their lives, their Board examinations.

But what makes this partnership truly special is its continuity.

Rather than supporting a single batch, 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙖 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙖 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙝 𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧, ensuring that more children gain access to the latest educational and digital learning resources. As a result, the impact has steadily expanded across the school, creating an environment where students are empowered to learn, explore, and grow together.

This year, yet another batch of Class 8 students received their Omangs and began their own learning journey. At the same time, the first beneficiaries of the program are stepping into their Board examinations with three years of continuous digital learning support behind them.

That is the power of sustained commitment.

Educational transformation does not happen through one-time interventions. It happens when students are consistently supported through their formative years, when schools are strengthened year after year, and when partners stay invested long enough to witness the change they helped create.
