Exciting News from Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune! 🌟
We are thrilled to share that our institution has received official sanction for the AICTE IDEA Lab, with a total combined funding of ₹1 Crore! 🎉
A heartfelt thank you to AICTE for this incredible opportunity! Thanks to Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Shivajirao Kadam Sir, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor and Secretary Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam Sir, Vice Chancellor Dr. Vivek Saoji Sir and Registrar G. Jayakumar Sir for their invaluable support.
This prestigious initiative, supported by AICTE, will establish a state-of-the-art innovation hub dedicated to cutting-edge research, emerging technologies, and advancements in Artificial Intelligence. The IDEA Lab will provide students and faculty with unparalleled opportunities to work on groundbreaking projects, driving technological progress and fostering a culture of innovation.
IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab is established in AICTE approved institutions, encouraging students for application of science, technology engineering and mathematics (STEM) fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience, learning by doing and even product visualization. As a common facility embedded in the institution, the IDEA Lab will make engineering graduates more imaginative and creative, besides getting basic training in the 21st century skills like- critical thinking, problem solving, design thinking, collaboration, communication, lifelong learning etc. IDEA Lab can facilitate the all students and faculty to “engage, explore, experience, express and excel” in their projects.
The purpose of IDEA Lab is to provide all facilities under one roof, for conversion of an idea into a prototype. With these facilities in the campus, more students and faculty will be encouraged to take up creative work and in the process, get training on creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration etc. which conventional labs are not able to.
We look forward to this lab's transformative impact on our academic community and beyond. 🚀
