WHEN ART MEETS ENGINEERING.
A niche home décor client approached XDOTINDIA Technologies with a unique design concept — but turning an artistic idea into a physical, manufacturable product required more than simply creating a 3D model.
🔴 PROBLEM STATEMENT
The challenge was to translate the client’s artistic vision into a functional, visually accurate and manufacturable décor piece, while maintaining the intended form and proportions.
🔎 ROOT CAUSE
The initial concept had design and manufacturing constraints that needed to be addressed before final production — including geometry, structural considerations, tolerances, assembly and manufacturability.
🛠️ DESIGN & ENGINEERING
We converted the concept into a detailed digital model and refined the geometry with design-for-manufacturing considerations.
🧪 VALIDATION
Before finalising the design, we used rapid prototyping to physically validate the form, proportions, fit and overall appearance.
This allowed the client to see and evaluate the product in the real world — before committing to production.
✅ FINALISATION
After incorporating the validation feedback, the design was refined and finalised for the next stage of manufacturing.
