RUNNING THE VISIONARIES OF SUMAN SIBAL

By Suman Sibal

This is not a story of bricks and mortar alone. It is the story of a man who runs — not
away from challenges, but towards visions. Suman Sibal’s journey is proof that
methodical discipline, when paired with imagination, can build not just structures, but
futures.
Born with curiosity for how things stand, Suman pursued civil engineering at NIT
Kurukshetra, graduating with distinction. His M.Tech in Structural Engineering
sharpened his analytical mind. From the beginning, he believed engineering was not
just about calculations, but about creating environments that inspire.
The secret of his success lies in method. Every project begins with a Work Breakdown
Structure. Every material is tested, every contract documented. Methodical work is not
rigidity; it is freedom from chaos.
From hotels to malls, residential townships to commercial complexes, Suman’s
portfolio is vast. Each project is a testament to his belief that structures must endure
and inspire. Hospitality builds worth crores reflect his ability to balance aesthetics with
engineering rigor.
As Head of Civil Engineering at JMIETI and Haryana Engineering College, he shaped
young minds. Teaching reinforced his own discipline. He taught students that
engineering is not just about formulas, but about responsibility — to society, to safety,
to sustainability.
At BYGGING India Ltd., he specialized in silos, chimneys, and coal-based thermal
power projects. His tenure at TATAs as Dy. Director honed his ability to manage
large-scale hotel projects. These experiences gave him a panoramic view of
engineering challenges.
Founding Suman Advisory Civil Consultants (SACC) was a turning point. Here, he
integrated his academic, industrial, and creative experiences. SACC became a hub
for precision-driven, client-centric solutions. It is where his vision matured into legacy.
THE LIFE JOURNEY OF ENGR. SUMAN SIBAL
Suman Sibal’s life journey is a reflection of discipline, curiosity, and a relentless pursuit of
excellence. Born with a natural fascination for buildings, patterns, and the mechanics behind
stability, he grew up observing the world through an engineer’s eyes.
At NIT Kurukshetra, he built the academic foundation of his career. His B.Tech in Civil Engineering
laid the groundwork, and his M.Tech refined his mastery of analytical thinking, seismic behavior,
materials science, and advanced design philosophies.
His first major chapter unfolded in academia as Head of Civil Engineering, where he mentored
students and strengthened departments.
At Bygging India Ltd., he embraced massive structures — silos, chimneys, thermal power
components. His tenure in the TATA's hotel constructions ecosystem transformed him into a strategist, handling
governance, safety, quality, and project ex*****on at high levels.
Founding SACC marked the beginning of his independent legacy. A consultancy built on precision,
trust, creativity, and Vasstu-aligned structural optimization.
His mind stretches beyond civil engineering — into AI, predictive modeling, future cities, and even
space engineering. His curiosity extends to asteroid mining and the evolution of humanity's built
environment.
Through every chapter one theme remains:
He does not follow journeys.
He builds them.

Top-level construction technology for state-of-the-art infrastructure projects involves the integration of advanced machinery and software to tackle the challenges of multilevel civil projects. Here are some key aspects:

1. Building Information Modeling (BIM): BIM plays a crucial role in the planning, design, and construction of multilevel projects. It enables the creation of a digital representation of the entire project, facilitating coordination and collaboration among different disciplines. BIM software allows stakeholders to visualize and simulate the construction process, identify clashes, optimize designs, and generate accurate quantity takeoffs.

2. Construction Robotics: Robotics and automation are revolutionizing construction processes. Robotic systems are employed for various tasks such as bricklaying, concrete pouring, and material handling, improving efficiency, precision, and safety. These advanced machines can work in multilevel environments, adapting to complex geometries and performing repetitive tasks with high accuracy.

3. 3D Printing: Additive manufacturing, or 3D printing, is gaining traction in construction. Large-scale 3D printers can create complex structural elements and components, reducing construction time and material waste. This technology is particularly useful for multilevel projects where repetitive elements like walls, columns, and floor slabs can be efficiently printed on-site or off-site.

4. Modular Construction: Modular construction involves the fabrication of building components or entire modules in a controlled factory environment. These modules are then transported to the construction site for assembly. This approach is well-suited for multilevel projects as it allows for simultaneous construction activities and reduces on-site labor requirements. Advanced software and machinery are used to design, fabricate, and transport these modular components efficiently.

5. Advanced Construction Equipment: Multilevel projects require specialized machinery such as tower cranes, high-capacity hoists, and concrete pumps with extended reach. These equipment are designed to operate in tight spaces, lift heavy loads, and ensure efficient material handling at different levels. Advanced control systems and sensors enhance safety and productivity.

6. Project Management Software: Comprehensive project management software is utilized to streamline communication, scheduling, and resource allocation for multilevel projects. These tools enable real-time tracking of progress, manage complex construction sequences, and optimize the utilization of resources.

7. Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR): AR and VR technologies are used to provide immersive experiences and facilitate design reviews, clash detection, and construction planning. These technologies enable stakeholders to visualize the multilevel project in a virtual environment, aiding in decision-making and identifying potential issues.

By leveraging these state-of-the-art technologies, construction companies can enhance productivity, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the successful ex*****on of multilevel civil projects. These advancements enable better collaboration, accurate planning, and streamlined construction processes, ultimately leading to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

In civil projects, specialized frameworks and scaffolding systems are often used to provide temporary support, access, and safety during construction. Here are some commonly used frameworks and scaffolding types:

1. Formwork Systems: Formwork frameworks are used to support the fresh concrete until it gains sufficient strength to stand on its own. This includes traditional timber formwork, steel formwork, and modular formwork systems like aluminum or plastic panels.

2. Falsework: Falsework refers to temporary structures used to support beams, slabs, or arches during construction. It helps distribute the load and maintain stability until permanent supports are in place.

3. Scaffolding: Scaffolding provides a temporary working platform for workers to access elevated areas during construction, maintenance, or repair activities. Common types include:

- Tube and Coupler Scaffolding: Consists of steel tubes connected by couplers to form a scaffold structure. It offers versatility and can be adapted to various configurations.

- System Scaffolding: Utilizes pre-engineered components, such as frames, braces, and connectors, to create a modular scaffold system. Examples include cuplock scaffolding and ringlock scaffolding.

- Suspended Scaffolding: Used when working at heights, suspended scaffolding systems hang from ropes or cables attached to overhead supports. They can be motorized or manually operated.

- Mobile Scaffolding: Portable scaffolding systems with wheels or casters that allow for easy movement and positioning. They are commonly used for maintenance and smaller-scale construction projects.

4. Shoring: Shoring systems provide temporary support to excavations, retaining walls, or structures. They prevent collapse and maintain stability during construction. Examples include soldier piles and lagging, sheet piling, or hydraulic shoring.

5. Cofferdam: A temporary enclosure or structure built in water or wet soil conditions to create a dry working environment. Coffer dams are commonly used during bridge or waterfront construction projects.

These are just a few examples of specialized frameworks and scaffolding used in civil projects. The specific type and design of these systems depend on the project's requirements, site conditions, and safety regulations. It's crucial to follow proper installation, inspection, and dismantling procedures and ensure compliance with local codes and standards to maintain a safe working environment.
