🌍 Celebrating National Science Day with Innovation and Sustainability! 🌍

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering successfully organized a seminar on “Sustainable and Advanced Technology” on 28th February 2026 at the CAM Lab, SXCCE.

The session was delivered by Dr. T. Michel Raj, who shared valuable insights on sustainable development practices and the role of advanced technologies in achieving environmental, economic, and social sustainability. The seminar highlighted innovative engineering solutions focused on energy efficiency, resource conservation, and eco-friendly technologies.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. T.S. Sheela Shiney and coordinated by Mr. Y. Yesu Jebinth Raja.

The seminar provided students with exposure to modern sustainable technologies, enhanced their analytical and problem-solving skills, and encouraged innovative thinking towards real-world engineering challenges. A total of 60 students and 3 faculty members actively participated in the event.

✨ Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking! ✨

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering organized a two-day workshop on “Business Model Canvas and Business Model Fit” on 27th & 28th March 2026 at the Civil Computer Lab as part of the IIC Calendar Activity.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. D. Sahaya Beula, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, SXCCE. The session focused on providing participants with a clear understanding of the Business Model Canvas framework and enhancing their ability to design, analyze, and validate sustainable business models that align with customer needs.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 48 students and 3 faculty members, making it an engaging and insightful learning experience for aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs.

🌍 Seminar on “National Pollution Control Day” 🌱

As part of the activities of the Institution's Innovation Council, a seminar on “National Pollution Control Day” was successfully conducted at St. Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering on 12 March 2026 by Dr. P. Antony Vimal.

The session highlighted:
✅ Genesis of emerging environmental problems
✅ Current pollution crisis and challenges
✅ Recent industrial accidents and their environmental impacts
✅ Innovative solutions, sustainable practices, and policy measures

A total of 30 students actively participated in the seminar. To enhance engagement and learning, an interactive quiz session based on the seminar topics was conducted at the end. The programme received positive feedback from the participants for its informative and thought-provoking discussions.

Such initiatives continue to create awareness among students about environmental responsibility and sustainable development.

The session, conducted under the guidance of MSME, focused on transforming innovative ideas into successful business ventures.
