Look at the Lotus Temple from above and it appears almost impossibly delicate. 27 marble-clad petals open towards the sky, creating one of India's most distinctive architectural landmarks.
But behind that graceful form lies a very different story. There are no simple walls here. No conventional dome.
Just a series of enormous curved petals that had to come together with extraordinary precision.
