This step-up shaft is manufactured from SS304 material.
The first diameter is 5e8 mm with a tolerance of 18 microns, and the next diameter is 9f8 mm with a tolerance of 22 microns. The component is produced from a 16 mm round bar.
The most critical requirement is to maintain within 50 microns runout between the first two diameters. Achieving this level of concentricity is the most challenging aspect of the manufacturing process, and this is where our expertise comes in.
With the right process sequence, any turning job can be converted into a zero-error part. Selecting the correct first and second operations plays a key role in achieving such high precision — and this is exactly what we specialize in.
