# The Invisible Traffic Controller: How Motorized Roller Conveyors Manage Flow
Ever wonder how products move smoothly without colliding on a conveyor line? The secret lies in zone accumulation, a simple yet brilliant system that plant engineers often overlook.
Here's how it works: small motors are distributed along the conveyor length. Each section has a controller card that manages motor speed and direction. Photo eyes positioned at each zone feed real time data to these cards. When a product reaches a zone, the photo eye detects it and signals the controller to slow or stop that motor, creating a queue buffer zone instead of crashes.
Running on 24V DC, these systems are compact, quiet and safe. Controller cards come pre installed and plug and play, requiring no complex PLCs or pneumatics. Belts can be added for inclines or speed changes.
Perfect for totes, cartons, boxes, pallets and tyres.
Smart conveyors. Smart manufacturing.
