Hindalco unlikely to get tapering coal linkage for power plant :-


NEW DELHI: Aditya Birla Group firm Hindalco is unlikely to get tapering coal linkage for its captive power plant in Odisha with the Coal Ministry conveying to the firm that state-owned CILBSE 0.22 % does not have sufficient fuel.

"Hindalco had approached the Coal Ministry seeking tapering linkage for its captive power plant in Odisha as the company stated that the production from the coal block (Talabira II) allocated to it for the plant would be delayed," said an official.

Workshop on organic farming:-


KANPUR: A workshop on organic farming was held at IIT-Kanpur on Saturday under the aegis of International Foundation of Humanistic Education. The students were educated about organic farming by agri-scientists and experts. DP Mishra threw light on the need of organic farming in the country and also spoke on bio-fertilisers. He highlighted the elements found in vegetables grown with bio-fertilisers and spoke about the impact of chemical pesticides and organic pesticides on vegetables.

RK Pathak and R Mishra spoke on the importance of bio-fertilisers in organic farming. The shed light on equipment that are pulled by oxen.

AK Tripathi, a faculty member of CSA university highlighted about the efficient use of liquid manure in organic farming.

The organisers thanked the students of Bhundelkhand University, Jhansi, IIT-K, HBTI-Kanpur and CSA University for participating in the workshop.
