Parbati Bhuiya is six years old. She comes from a mining community where getting through the day is hard enough — and school feels like a world away.
When she first joined us, she barely came. And when she did, she sat at the edges — quiet, withdrawn, unable to write her own name.
Through the ROSHNI initiative, supported by Gainwell, the situation began to change. Remedial classes, home visits, parent counselling, hygiene guidance — small, consistent acts of care that slowly rebuilt her confidence.
Today, Parbati shows up on time. She raises her hand. She draws, she laughs, and she writes her name.
For a child who once had no one in her corner, that is everything. This is what we work toward — one child, one family, one community at a time.
