INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION (AKAM)
(15) 2022 Aug, Poonch District.

As part of its social responsibility and for overall enhancement of youth of J&K towards national integration, Rashtriya Rifle Battalion of Counter Insurgency Force (ROMEO) celebrated "76th Independence Day (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav)" with the AWAM at Daraba. Sector Commander hoisted the National Flag which was followed by cultural program & distribution of certificates for VTC Course (Tally & GST Accounting). The aim of the event was to create awareness among the locals from the remote corners about the significance of this Independence Day, to instill in them, a sense of pride as Indian citizens & to strengthen the goodwill of Indian Army. As part of the event, school students organised many cultural programs on patriotic theme and it was fine mix of music, drama and dance, which left the audience enthralled and mesmerised. The event further strengthened the existing bond between security forces and 'AWAM' which can be judged by sincere appreciation by locals post celebrations. A total number of 335 locals attended the event.

As part of its social responsibility and to commemorate 75th Year of Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava), Rashtriya Rifle Battalion of Counter Insurgency Force (ROMEO) organised Flag Hoisting at Ranjati Gali. The aim of the event was to create awareness among the school children & locals from the remote corners about the significance of this Independence Day, to instill in them a sense of pride as Indian Citizens and to strengthen the goodwill of Army. The event also aimed to spread awareness about the national flag & instilling a sense of belongingness with national symbols/ signs. Event was celebrated in a friendly and blissful environment with patriotic fervour, which was highly appreciated by the students & further, enhanced the nation building image of Indian Army. A total of 32 children and 18 locals attended the event.
