In 1942 it was acquired by the Amalgamations Group - a leading conglomerate in South India and continued to be a member of the group. Since 1955, Addison started manufacturing HSS rotary tools and grey iron castings. Now the manufacturing list includes Rotary Solid Carbide tools, Broaches and Hobs. It also makes Machines for Tools Resharpening and Grinding. Addison tools are made to various Global standards and also to Indian standards.
