When your pet has a wound, their body already knows how to heal it. Laser therapy helps support that natural process.
Veterinary laser therapy, also called photobiomodulation or PBMT, uses therapeutic light to support the cellular processes involved in:
✨ Tissue repair
✨ Local circulation
✨ Inflammation control
✨ Wound closure and recovery
It can be useful in wound management, post-surgical recovery, some skin conditions, dental recovery and other situations where your vet wants to support healing.
But here’s the important part: laser therapy doesn’t replace proper treatment. A wound that needs cleaning, infection control, medication or stitches still needs them.
Think of laser therapy as another tool your veterinarian can use alongside appropriate treatment to help your pet’s body do what it already knows how to do: heal.
So if your vet recommends laser therapy, ask:
“How will this help in my pet’s particular case?”
Because good treatment starts with understanding the why. ❤️
