* Company Overview
The IET is Europe's biggest professional society for the engineering and technology community, with more than 153,000 members in 127 countries and offices in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. It was formed in 2006 from two separate institutions: the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE), dating back to 1871 and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE) dating back to 1884. Moreover it has the authority to establish professional registration of engineers (Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer) through the Engineering Council.
