Commissioned in 1958, the 60 MW Maithon Hydroelectric Power Station was ahead of its time, featuring South Asia's first underground powerhouse. After more than six decades of dependable service, the plant has reached a stage where comprehensive renovation and modernisation is essential to restore its performance, enhance reliability, and extend its operational life. has been entrusted with this responsibility, and we are truly honoured by the opportunity.

A decade ago, we established the RenServ Division with a clear vision – to bridge the gap for a competent and reliable partner in the Renovation & Modernisation of hydropower plants. Since then, we have successfully delivered numerous projects across India, strengthening our expertise and commitment to extending the life and performance of hydro assets.

Today, is proud to announce another significant milestone. We have been entrusted with the Renovation & Modernisation of the 64 MW Grand Katende Hydroelectric Project, featuring vertical Kaplan turbines, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Africa.

This project is more than just another order – it represents our largest RenServ project to date, involves the largest Kaplan turbines, our first project in the DRC, and the beginning of a valued relationship with a new customer. It is both a recognition of the confidence placed in our capabilities and a responsibility that we are committed to fulfilling with excellence.

We sincerely thank our collaborator, M/s Angelique International Limited (AIL), and our customer, Société Nationale d'Électricité (SNEL), for their trust and confidence. We look forward to delivering this project with the highest standards of quality, reliability, and engineering excellence.

A moment of pride and quiet nostalgia for us as the Dhakrani Renovation Project comes to a close with the completion of its third and final phase.

A 35+ MW renovation project, the largest of its kind in India when it was awarded to Flovel in 2021, it will always remain special. The project was a true partnership with the customer (UJVN Ltd.) team, whose inspiring vision to extend the life of the project, generate more renewable energy from existing assets, and do whatever was needed to achieve that goal, including replacing runners, pushed us to explore the possibilities of engineering.

We are grateful for the opportunity and excited about future partnership opportunities.
