⛰️A mountain road shaped by stone, following every natural curve of the land.
This hillside approach was not designed to fight the terrain.
The road follows the natural movement of the mountain, while hand-laid granite cobbles define its edges and guide the eye through every bend.
A functional driveway, given architectural character through stone.
🪨 CRAFTED CURVES
Every bend needed a different response from the stone.
Straight rows work along the longer stretches, but the turning zones require more careful detailing.
At every curve, the cobbles gradually open into fan-shaped patterns so the layout can move naturally with the road instead of appearing forced or cut abruptly.
This is where installation becomes craftsmanship.
STONE GUIDANCE
The paving does more than finish the road. It gives it direction.
The charcoal-grey cobble bands create a clear visual edge against the lighter road surface.
They help define the carriageway, strengthen the turning zones and give the entire route a continuous design language from one curve to the next.
Subtle in appearance, but important in performance.
MOUNTAIN MASONRY⛰️
The retaining wall carries the weight of the slope and the character of the site.
Built in random rubble masonry, the wall uses stones with naturally different shapes, faces and depths.
Nothing is perfectly repeated, and that is precisely why the structure feels connected to the terrain.
It provides retention, protection and visual continuity without making the mountain look overbuilt.
