6th Publication on Genotyping by Sequencing work done by NxGenBio and second on Finger Millet. The current Article shows Genome wide Association Results with important agro-morphological traits, reported for the first time in this study which could be precisely utilised in finger millet genetic improvement after validation. Congratulations to Anil Kumar and his team for conceptualising the study and thanks to Gourav Kusum Sharma and rest of the team at NxGenBio for the GBS & GWAS data analysis.

Finger millet (Eleusine coracana L.) is an important dry-land cereal in Asia and Africa because of its ability to provide assured harvest under extreme dry conditions and excellent nutritional properties. However, the genetic improvement of the crop is lacking in the absence of suitable genomic reso...

Gene Expression Modulation before and after feeding on human blood by mosquitoes. Genetics behind Sensing Mosquito's smelling and feeding behaviour unravelled by NxGenBio Team ! 7th Publication in series on Mosquito Genomics Acknowledging our Next Generation Sequencing Bioinformatics Analysis. Congratulations to Rajnikant Dixit Kailash Pandey and team ...

Decoding the molecular basis of host seeking and blood feeding behavioral evolution/adaptation in the adult female mosquitoes may provide an opportunity to design new molecular strategy to disrupt human-mosquito interactions. Although there is a great progress in the field of mosquito olfaction and....

One of the few papers published from India on GBS - For constructing of High-density linkage map and mapping of seed trait QTLs in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) using Genotyping-by-Sequencing (GBS) technique, - High Five for entire NxGenBio Team for such a commendable job!

This study reports the use of Genotyping-by-Sequencing (GBS) for large-scale SNP discovery and simultaneous genotyping of recombinant in**ed lines (RILs) of an intra-specific mapping population of chickpea contrasting for seed traits.

The 5th paper on Mosquito Genomics citing NxGenBio's continuous support to the scientists in first of its kind study till date in understanding the regulation of miRNA expression in Anopheles stephensi across developmental stages of male and female mosquito...

MicroRNAs are small non-coding RNAs that are involved in various biological processes including insect development. Anopheles stephensi serves as primary vector of malaria parasite in Asia and exhibits holometabolous life cycle that involves four different stages of development. Regulation and role…

The 4th Paper on Insect Genomics citing NxGenBio Team's work. Showing network of differentially expressed genes involved in oxidative stress in Anopheles stephensi during Plasmodium development and maturation in the midgut. Transcriptome of the An. stephensi midgut during Plasmodium vinckei petteri oocyst invasion of the midgut epithelium was sequenced, analysed using NGS.

Ookinete invasion of Anopheles midgut is a critical step for malaria transmission; the parasite numbers drop drastically and practically reach a minimum during the parasite's whole life cycle. At this stage, the parasite as well as the vector undergoes immense oxidative stress. Thereafter, the vecto…
