A proud and memorable day at the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) Gevra Project, as Shri HARISH DUHAN, CMD, SECL, inaugurated the new Truck Simulator Facility and reviewed Gmmco’s technology-led solutions for safer, smarter and more productive mining operations, in the presence of Shri 𝗦. 𝗞. 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗮, General Manager, Gevra Area, and Anuj Keoliya, Head – Mining, Gmmco. Accompanied by senior leaders from South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), GMMCO Ltd and Caterpillar Inc.

He experienced the simulator, reviewed the equipment and dozer solutions, and appreciated the breadth of technologies showcased - from VisionLink and anti-collision solutions to the Gmmco Shield safety app and SafeOps Monitoring System - and their role in strengthening safety, skill development, equipment availability and production.

A particularly inspiring highlight was his interaction with Gmmco’s women Graduate Engineer Trainees supporting equipment condition monitoring at the SECL mine site. Impressed by their confidence and technical capability, he encouraged SECL officials to further advance diversity in mining, recognising Gmmco as a role model aligned with the Ministry’s guidance.

The visit reaffirmed the strength of the SECL - Gmmco partnership and our shared commitment to safety, inclusion, capability building and operational excellence.

The review was also attended by Shri Srikanta Das, General Manager (E&M); Shri Deepak Kumar, General Manager (Excavation); Shri Prakash Rai, General Manager (Safety); and other senior officials.
