Concrete RFID tags are designed to meet the needs of the concrete manufacturing industry for both prestress and precast. Current systems are labor intensive, time consuming and susceptible to human error. This causes lost, duplication, miscounted inventory and poor overall quality control. With the introduction of concrete RFID tags and software suite, concrete manufacturers now can gain inventory management and quality control of the products they produce.
International Coding Technologies (ICT) has combines RFID, GPS, unique ruggedized tagging technology, and modular software to track concrete for the construction industry. ITC is the first company of its kind to use state-of-the-art electronic tracking technologies for manufactured concrete.
The concrete RFID tags were designed for the rugged application in concrete. Each concrete RFID tag is sealed in a watertight, dust proof castable inlay that affixes securely in concrete forms, in structures, and in pipe bell ends.
By serializing each structure with a concrete RFID tag, will provide real-time data on the location of individual structures allows concrete manufacturers to optimize critical production and distribution processes using RFID data to identify and solve quality issues; ensure the right materials are shipped to the right customers; automatically record the GPS coordinates of delivered materials and prepare accurate invoices.
Of equal importance, the software enables concrete manufacturers to deliver superior service by providing customers with critical information to manage inventory used for large-scale building projects, as well as identify and trace concrete structures across their lifespan to maintain their structural integrity and safety.
