The European Journey for HealthTech Meetup – what an inspiring morning!
Dozens of entrepreneurs, executives, and innovation leaders from the HealthTech ecosystem came together today to discuss one of the most important questions for companies in this space: How do you build meaningful activity in Europe, and what does it really take to succeed there?
The journey to Europe begins long before the first sale. It starts with understanding the different healthcare systems, local regulation, funding mechanisms, procurement processes, and the ability to tailor the strategy to each target market.
During the meetup, we explored four key topics:
Funding and grants – how to properly map funding opportunities in Europe, from combining venture capital and private investors to effectively leveraging grants and support programs.
Entering the European market – what it really takes to build activity in Germany and the UK, create local partnerships, establish a local presence, and choose the right market-entry strategy.
Regulation and market access – understanding regulatory requirements and market-access pathways, and turning regulatory complexity into an integral part of the business strategy.
Lessons from the field – real stories from entrepreneurs who have already made the journey, the challenges they encountered, and the practical lessons they learned along the way.
Beyond the professional content, it was exciting to see the Israeli HealthTech community come together. Entrepreneurs, investors, government representatives, experts, and ecosystem partners sat around the same tables, exchanged ideas, created new connections, and shared their experience.
The connections, conversations, and discussions that continued during the breaks and after the panels reminded us all how a strong community can accelerate innovation, collaboration, and growth.
