We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stainless Steel Fabricator to join our team here at DC Fabrication Ltd.
As a fabricator, you will be responsible for producing and assembling various metal components, structures and products according to specifications. Your expertise will be essential in creating high-quality metalwork that meets industry standards and client requirements. If you become a team member you have the benefit of working a 8.5 day fortnight, with every second Friday off.
Responsibilities:
-Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
-Perform metal fabrication tasks including cutting, shaping, bending, welding TIG & MIG and assembling metal components using various tools and equipment
-Operate machinery such as saws, grinders, drills and PressBrake, to cut, shape and finish metalwork
-Ensure accurate measurements and precise calculations for the fabrication process
-Inspect completed metalwork to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications
-Identify any defects or issues in the metalwork and make necessary adjustments or repairs
-Collaborate with design teams and engineers to provide input and suggestions for improving the fabrication process and design
-Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring proper storage of tools and equipment
-Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times to ensure a sage work environment
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role
-Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
-Knowledge of various metal fabrication techniques and tools
-Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in metal fabrication
-Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
-Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
