South East Makerspace

South East Makerspace South East Makerspace (SEMS) is a collaborative community operated makerspace based in Waterford. What is a hack[er]/make[r]Space?

South East Makerspace (SEMS) is a makerspace focused on contemporary DIY and creative practices where people with common interests, often in computers, technology, science, digital art or electronic art, can meet, socialise and/or collaborate. Our objective is to develop an inclusive community interested in the pursuit of innovation in science, technology, modern culture, and creative arts and to

create a shared multidisciplinary space with a focus on a technology-based extension of DIY culture. SEMS is based in Waterford City and is dedicated to helping members to make their creative projects a reality by providing a friendly flexible space with the tools, supplies and equipment they need. We also host informative talks which allow Makers to share their knowledge and experience with other SEMS members and the general public. We are a young organisation who met for the first time on April 4th 2013. We have recently acquired a building located in the center of Waterford City to base our Makerspace in. We are actively looking for new members and encourage anyone interested in creating to join us and become a member of SEMS. Meetings are held monthly, on the second Saturday at 4pm in Sems building 4 Thomas Hill, Waterford. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackerspace
