High Solid Sealer vs Low Solid Sealer – what's the difference?
While both are designed to protect decorative concrete, they are slightly different and work in different ways.
High Solid Sealer
• A ‘thicker’ protective film can be built up more easily on the surface
• Quicker to produce a richer, glossier finish
• Ideal for use on more porous or older, grainier concrete
• More suitable to apply in colder conditions
• Ideal where durability and enhanced appearance are the priority
• The most popular, most used sealer in the industry
Low Solid Sealer
• Penetrates further into the surface rather than building a thick coating
• Often used as a primer coat, especially in warm weather conditions
• Litre for litre, produces a more natural-looking / less shiny finish
• Preferred choice when having to seal in the hot parts of the day during the summer
• A great choice where a lower-build finish is preferred
• Often used for reseals when an area is resealed on a regular basis
Neither product is better than the other. The right choice depends on the surface, the temperature and the finish you're aiming to achieve.
