Our latest machine is heading to Cork to take its place on the production floor of a leading orthopaedic manufacturer.

Loading and shipping a precision automation system is no small undertaking, and moments like this are a real team effort. Congratulations to everyone at DesignPro who brought this build across the line, from the first design review to final sign-off and safe loading.

A special thanks also to Eamonn Barrett and his team for taking such care in getting this one on the road.

Today, the DesignPro team brought serious energy to The Butterfly Club!

We cleaned ball pits, sorted toy shelves, cleared sheds, prepped bikes for summer camps and gave their outdoor area a freshen-up.

A massive shout-out to Julia Keaveney from The Butterfly Club, who coordinated everything and rewarded our efforts with tea and pastries! ☕ You made the day extra special.

To every volunteer who showed up today - you're legends. Together, we've made a real contribution to a facility that does incredible work in our community.

One of the most rewarding things we did this year had nothing to do with a machine spec or a project deadline.

It was when we partnered with to sponsor their Plant Automation Project. The module we were involved in puts second-year engineering students through a genuine design and build challenge, from first principles to a working automated system.

For us, it was a chance to give something back to the Irish engineering community. To be in the room when young engineers first start thinking like problem-solvers and offer them honest feedback on their approach.

We presented to the cohort, visited the lab to choose finalists, and announced the winners after an exclusive tour of our facility.

This week we closed out our school tour season.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the 6th Class students of Monagea National School for our final facility tour before the summer. These young people are heading into secondary school in September and starting to think about the subjects and paths ahead of them, and we hope we gave them some food for thought!

They were an exceptionally well-behaved group with some really sharp questions - honestly impressive.

This one was extra special for us too. Our Production Manager John had his daughter Kate among the visiting students 😊

Wishing Kate and all her classmates the very best as they head off on their next big adventure. Secondary school, here they come! 🧡

Clearing headspace, one step at a time 🚶🚶‍♀️

'Move More Month' brought us to Curraghchase Forest Park last Friday, and honestly? It was exactly what we all needed.

Tea and something sweet ✓
Weekend form: OFF THE CHARTS 😎

An hour walking through nature, clearing the headspace and finishing with a cuppa - simple as that.
And we're so lucky to have Curraghchase practically on our doorstep!

Sometimes the best team activities are the ones that just let you breathe, move and enjoy being outside. Mission accomplished. 💪🌳

🌞 Turning Sunshine into Smart Production 🌞

At DesignPro, we’re powering our operations more sustainably every day.

Today, we reviewed our latest solar data, which showed we’ve generated 17,165 kWh over the past year at our 50,000 sq ft production facility.

On its own, that number might not mean much, but the reality is:

🏡 That’s enough energy to power 3-4 Irish homes for a year

🌱 It’s avoiding approximately 5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually

💶 It’s a system that is delivering consistent cost savings while reducing our exposure to rising energy prices

Putting it simply, our roof is now working as hard as our production team 😁

As we continue to optimise our energy usage, solar is playing a key role in making our facility more cost-effective and environmentally responsible.

Watching machine frames arrive on the floor is always a significant moment for us. It’s the point where months of engineering, design and planning becomes something tangible.

These two machines are for a customer we've been working with for 15+ years. A long-standing relationship built on trust and a shared commitment to getting the job done right.

The brief for this project was to support our customer's global expansion. They are significantly scaling their facility to increase production of their highly regulated medical device product. These machines will output 6.55 million components per machine, per year.

Frames are on the floor and the build is underway!

💛 Spreading Sunshine for Daffodil Day 💛

Last Friday, we came together to support the Irish Cancer Society National Daffodil Day, and what a beautiful day it was!

Our canteen was filled with gorgeous fresh daffodils (picked straight from our HR managers' fields - thank you, Paula! 🌼). Bunches were snapped up to brighten homes and bring smiles all around.

A special highlight was our Daffodil Colouring Competition! Check out the creativity and talent from our little artists. Every picture brought its own splash of colour and joy!

All donations made on the day will go directly to the Irish Cancer Society, supporting vital cancer research and support services across Ireland.

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated and helped us spread a little sunshine!
