Wastewater treatment has a massive energy footprint, consuming 1-2% of the world’s electricity. This is being continuously intensified by population growth and increasingly stringent treatment regulations. ient aeration technologies. Energy efficiency has never had sufficient focus in the design of aeration systems. The Vortex Power Aerator, a novel wastewater aeration technology that massively reduces the energy of wastewater aeration has been developed to reduce the footprint of these processes.
